ACT Exam

The ACT test is the most popular college entrance exam accepted by all universities and colleges in the United States. The exam is taken by all the graduates of high schools. The ACT is based on what students learn in high school and provides information about their strengths for education and career planning.

The ACT includes the four subject area tests plus a 40-minute writing test. The ACT includes 215 multiple-choice questions and takes approximately 3hours and 30 minutes to complete, including a short break. The structure of the test runs as follows:

Mathematics 60 questions 60 minutes
Reading 40 questions 35 minutes
Science 40 questions 35 minutes
Writing 1 essay 40 minutes

For each subje4ct a student may get from 1 to 36 scores. For writing a student may get from 2 to 12 scores. Writing part is optional though some schools may require it.
